Ridley Scott still knows how to make good movies. I went to the cinema (and got frustrated with Cineplex’s $3 online booking fee – do you know any other service from anywhere that charges that?) with doubts. Gladiator is one of the best movies ever. How can a sequel do any justice? Especially not with Russell Crow.
This one can. And, of course, since this is a Scott movie, there are some cool duel scenes happening.
The question is – will it inspire as much as the first one did? Even in Sopranos, there’s Ralph Cifaretto, who is obsessed with the movie. Do kids nowadays have the characters as inspirations?
